All Prescription Requests Must Be In Writing

The practice will not accept prescription requests over the telephone.

The practice staff and telephone system are under extreme pressure and priority must be given for urgent medical queries only.

During the current COVID-19 pandemic the practice will accept requests:

Please allow the practice at least 2 full working days to process routine prescription requests and enquiries

Practice Policy:

It is our practice policy that prescription requests are made in writing at least two full working days before you run out of your medication and allow two full working days before collection, (Working days are Mon to Fri so excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).   This is to safeguard errors being made.

If your prescription has been computerised please do not throw away the tear off slip, but use it to request your next repeat. Any additional items not already printed on your tear off slip need to be requested in writing and take at least two working days to process, as these items will need to be authorised by your doctor.

A new option for 'Order Repeat Prescriptions' has been introduced to alleviate the pressure and queues at reception which will allow patients to view a list of their repeat medication.  Any item not appearing on the repeat slip will need to be requested in writing.

Please note the text box should only be used for messages relating to your repeat medication requests and cannot be used for any other medical queries.

Kindly click on the 'emis access link' which will direct you through to repeat prescription requests.  In order to use this facility you will need to register via the online registration form.

The cost to the NHS on overusing and ordering of medication when not required is significant.  Kindly ensure you only request medication that is required.
